METHODOLOGY

Winks Gym is a holistic fitness studio in Greenpoint focused on longevity, strength, and whole-body training. We treat the body as an integrated system—combining strength, movement, posture, recovery, and nutrition through an education-led approach designed to help you move better, build lasting strength, and break the cycle of recurring injury.

We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for every stage of life and level of experience. Whether you are new to fitness, returning after time away, training through pregnancy and postpartum, or looking to deepen your practice, our goal is to provide thoughtful coaching that helps every member feel confident, capable, and connected to their body. All classes at Winks Gym are designed to be pre- and postnatal safe, with modifications and guidance available throughout every workout.

In addition to our regular programming, we offer a dedicated pre- and postnatal strength program. This class centers on building pelvic-floor, core, and functional full-body strength while incorporating practical education around labor preparation, breathing, recovery, and postpartum healing. Designed to support women through every stage of motherhood, the program helps clients feel strong, informed, and confident throughout pregnancy and beyond. Babies are welcome from 6 weeks through the crawling stage, creating a supportive space for movement, learning, and community.

To enhance foot mechanics, proprioception, and stability during training, shoes are not permitted on the gym floor—socks are required.

CLASSES

Classes run in seasonal three-month blocks, each with a focused theme and tailored format designed to keep your training intentional, progressive, and adaptable. Our education-led approach emphasizes strength, movement quality, recovery, and long-term resilience so you can continue building a strong foundation both inside and outside the gym.

We train shoes off to improve foot mechanics, proprioception, balance, and stability from the ground up—helping you move better, feel stronger, and reduce the risk of recurring injury over time. Socks are required on the gym floor.

A filtered bottle filler station is available onsite; please bring your own water bottle, as cups will not be provided. Towels are available.

  • A signature sculpt session that hits all your favorite areas. Tone, tighten, and build shape where it counts.

  • Target the front side of the body, engaging the anterior sling with focused work on the chest, shoulders, quads, and core.

  • Focus on the backside of the body, training the posterior sling to build strength, stability, and power through the glutes, hamstrings, and back.

  • A full-performance workout built to push your strength, stamina, and mental grit. Your weekly benchmark session.

  • A high-quality, up-tempo session combining explosive movements with controlled, athletic training. Designed to elevate heart rate, improve coordination, and build power and endurance—without compromising form.

  • Strength Focused: A balanced blend of resistance training and Pilates. You’ll be challenged by controlled, resistance-based movements that build strength, tone, and body awareness.

  • A restorative, alignment-focused class using Pilates-based movement to release tension, improve posture, and reset.

  • A pre/postnatal strength class centered on building pelvic‑floor, core, and functional full‑body strength. You’ll learn practical labor and recovery techniques to help you feel strong and confident in your body through your motherhood journey. Babies welcome - from 6 weeks to crawling.

  • A track-based performance session designed to develop speed, power, and athleticism. Through structured sprint intervals and technical drills, this class targets fast-twitch muscle fibers, enhances running mechanics, and supports lean muscle development. Built for those looking to move faster, train sharper, and perform at a higher level.

  • A community-driven endurance session focused on building aerobic capacity, consistency, and overall fitness. Open to all levels, this class emphasizes pacing, technique, and steady progression—while creating a social, supportive training environment.
